This course is designed as an introduction to hand stripping a wire coat. It is suited to those who wish to learn how to hand strip dogs, without the need for a formal qualification.

 

It is also a useful introduction to hand stripping for those wishing to undertake the City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate for Dog Grooming course

This course covers:-

                            How to correctly identify if the coat is ready for hand stripping

                            Equipment to use

                            Hand stripping the coat using various techniques and tools 

                            Use of thinning and straight scissors

                            Shaping the coat

                           

This course is run over 1/2 a day and you will be required to supply your own dog.

​

All equipment and aprons will be supplied as will tea and coffee throughout the session.

​

On completion of the course you will receive a certificate of attendance.
