This course is designed as an introduction to dog grooming. It is suited to those who wish to learn how to groom their own dogs, or friends and families dogs, without the need for a formal qualification.

 

It is also a useful introduction to dog grooming for those wishing to undertake the 8 day grooming course or the City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate for Dog Grooming Assistants course..

This course covers:-

                            How to correctly health check a dog

                            Bathe a dog according to coat type

                            Correct drying technique for specified breeds 

                            Trimming claws

                            Cleaning / Plucking ears  

                            Styling either to breed standard or as per owners request.

This course is run over 12 hours (3 x 4 hour sessions) The hours of this course are 10am-2pm, We are quite flexible with the days of training (we are closed Sundays & Mondays) and this can work around your commitments. You will be required to bring a different dog for each session. (if this proves difficult, we can supply dogs at an extra cost)

All equipment and aprons will be supplied as will tea and coffee throughout the session.

​

On completion of the course you will receive a certificate of attendance.
